Bennington Pottery

While it’s always a favorite, Bennington Pottery seems to be few and far between at my local thrift. While most pieces aren’t terribly old, the quality and design is really very good. That could be why people keep them!

I did stumble upon these two pieces.

DSC_0008Look for pottery that is obviously free of chips, but also free of hairline cracks. Even if it doesn’t look like it’s a deep crack, it has definitely compromised the strength of the item.

Fortunately these were both in really good condition and $1.99 each. I especially love to use them on those nights when it’s an easy supper in front of the fire. See? There is a perfect rim to keep food in place!

Keep your eyes peeled for Bennington Pottery. Sturdy pieces worth bringing home.
